Detroit, Mich. – May 7, 2015Dometic Group, provider of leisure products for the automotive, caravan, motor home, truck and marine markets, today announced that its Commercial and Passenger Vehicle unit will be exhibiting at the WardsAuto Interiors Conference on May 13 in Detroit, Mich. At the conference, Dometic will be exhibiting its trend-setting, integrated comfort solutions for cars and trucks, including fridge freezers, heated and cooled bins, thermoelectric heated and cooled cup holders and bottle chillers.

Dometic devices keep food and drinks chilled, frozen, or heated on the go. For over two decades, Dometic has provided specially designed OEM solutions for automotive companies, primarily in Europe, such as Volvo, Volkswagen, Toyota, Ford, Audi, Aston Martin, Bentley, BMW, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Renault, Rolls Royce, and others. Dometic is now expanding its presence in the U.S. automotive market from its offices in Troy, Mich.

“Compact refrigeration is the next great frontier in automotive luxury,” said Brian Berlenbach, Director of OEM Sales at Dometic. “Dometic has extensive experience in this space. Our engineers and designers are pioneers in customizing thermoelectric and compressor-based refrigeration, smart energy systems and sleek designs that add value, style and comfort to passenger vehicles.”

In addition to refrigeration solutions, Dometic also specializes in USB charger ports and 115V and 230V sockets for devices that require AC power, such as phones, tablets, portable DVD players and laptops. Many current, and concept, Dometic OEM automotive products are on permanent display at the company’s Commercial and Passenger Vehicle division headquarters in Troy, Mich.

“Dometic innovations have had a decisive impact on the market; for example, the first 230-volt socket integrated into a Volkswagen car was Dometic’s invention,” said Doug Curtis, Dometic’s VP of Marketing. “Dometic’s state-of-the-art engineering techniques, wide range of products and reputation for quality and reliability with OEM manufacturers set it apart from the competition.”
